Following the successful recording of David Popper’s Hohe Schule des Violoncel-lospiels (PMR0085), paladino re-releases the only commercially available recording of the two volumes of preparatory etudes by Popper. Martin Rummel’s former student Sebastian Hartung accompanies him in the Fifteen easy rhythmic-melodic etudes. An important recording for all young cellists and their teachers, and a surprisingly enjoyable listening experiences for cello lovers, in spite of the pedagogical nature of the pieces.
