With his long career, inexhaustible energy and endless fantasy, Georg Philip Telemann is the central figure of the German late baroque. These colourful suites illustrate his mastery of the genre displaying a wide variety of stylised dances, descriptive or character pieces; lively and sparkling, moving and captivating but never dull!
The Flemish Baroque orchestra B'Rock was founded in 2005 by harpsichordist, composer and conductor Frank Agsteribbe and double bass player Tom Devaere and started out of a desire for renewal and rejuvenation in the world of early music. B'Rock is an internationally orientated group without a permanent conductor or artistic leader. B'Rock stands for a presentation of early music that focuses on performance and style, whereby expression and intensity come first.
B’Rock regularly works with leading soloists and conductors such as Richard Egarr, Skip Sempé, Gary Cooper, Eduardo Lopez Banzo, Philippe Jaroussky, Alfredo Bernardini and Vittorio Ghielmi. B’Rock performs nationally and internationally (Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Early Music Festival Utrecht, Tage alter Musik in Berlin and Regensburg and Musik+ in Innsbruck).
