CROSSOVER is an excerpt from the vibrant concert life of the Stuttgart Brass Quartett, whose inimitable sound has been established on the densely populated brass scene since 1986. One trademark - the roughly 70 personal and commissioned arrangements, which capture the flair of various musical periods and styles. The current program stands with one foot in the Old World and one in the New, with the glorious sound of the European Baroque sharing the spotlight with musical selections from early Jazz, musical theater, Negro spirituals and of course - a few special surprises thrown in for good measure.
Here is a program that makes no pretense to making profound statements on the human condition, rather, it is the joy of music making at its most ebullient and enjoyable - brought to you for your enjoyment by the four virtuosi of the Stuttgart Brass Quartett.
