Songs of wayfaring singers

This CD juxtaposes songs by the troubadours of northern and southern France with songs by

German minnesingers in the period 1150 to 1250. The singers of that era were widely travelled,

and many musical cross-currents have come to light.

The ensemble für frühe musik augsburg presents a colourful selection from this repertoire, a

representative cross-section of music by wayfaring singers.
