• Together with arias from Die Zauberflöte and Le Nozze di Figaro, Karina Gauvin’s selection from Mozart’s opera arias includes the moving Aer tranquillo (Il Re Pastore) and spectacular Come scoglio (Cosi fan tutte), and concert arias such as Chi’o mi scordi di te. Karina Gauvin sings this delightful Mozart recital with Les Violons du Roy under the baton of Bernard Labadie. The recording includes great opera overtures by Mozart as well.

• Bernard Labadie is an internationally recognized expert in 17th and 18th century repertoire and founded Les Violons du Roy and La Chapelle de Québec in 1984 and 1985 respectively. He continues to direct their regular seasons in Quebec City and Montreal and on tour throughout the Americas and Europe.
