During the last two decades, the number of Finnish accordion concerts has steadily increased. The artistic level of the new works is unusually high.

The concerts heard on the album were all commissioned by the Kokkola Winter Harmonica and the Central Ostrobothnia Chamber Orchestra and premiered at that festival.
