Do wykonania ambitnego repertuaru posłużyły Ritterowi aż trzy instrumenty historyczne: Kopia fortepianu firmy Buchholtz z ok. 1825-1826, fortepian marki Pleyel z 1842 oraz instrument Erarda z roku 1837. Nagrania dokonano w Sali Kameralnej Filharmonii Narodowej we wrześniu 2018 roku, podczas przesłuchań konkursowych I i II etapu.

Tomasz Ritter, the winner of the International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments, delighted the audience showing the great understanding of Chopin style in his playing. The album contains his interpretations of Karol Kurpiński's compositions, whose Polonaise in D minor was chosen by Ritter for the first stage of the competition, and Fryderyk Chopin's works. The repertoire was performed on as many as three period Instruments: a copy of Buchholtz from ca 1825-1826, Playel's piano from 1842 and Erard from 1837. The recordings were made at the Chamber Hall of the National Philharmonic in September 2018, during the 1st and 2nd stages of the auditions.
