Roeland Hendrikx Roeland Hendrikx studied at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven and at the Royal Flemish Conservatory in Antwerp, followed by master classes with eminent clarinetists throughout the world. Roeland Hendrikx was a member of the Symphony Orchestra of La Monnaie from 1998 to 2003 and is currently solo clarinet in the National Orchestra of Belgium. As a chamber musician he has performed with leading artists and ensembles in important concert series. He has performed as a soloist with Prima la Musica, I Fiamminghi, the Beethoven Academy, the National Orchestra of Belgium, the Flemish Radio Orchestra, the Limburger Symphony Orchestra, the Georgia Philharmonic (USA), The Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra and the Hagen Philharmonic (Germany). He also performed with the Royal Military Band of the Belgian Army as part of the Festival van Vlaanderen Limburg in 1998, as a result of which he was named star of the festival for that year. Roeland Hendrikx gives frequent first performances of Belgian chamber works and endeavours to promote them as much as possible. He was awarded the Jeanne & Willem Pelemans Prize in 2001 for his efforts in making Belgian music better known.
Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort Pianist Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort is one of the most important Belgian artists of his generation. He concluded his training under Jan Michiels, Menahem Pressler, Russell Sherman and Elissó Wirssaladze and has also benefited from advice given by Jan Wijn, Jacques De Tiege, Hans Leygraf, Dmitri Bashkirov, Alexander Korsantia and Leif Ove Andsnes. He was one of the laureates of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium in 2007. Since that time he has given recitals in prestigious concert halls in Europe, Israel, China, South Africa, Canada and the USA. He has recorded piano concertos by Liszt and Rachmaninov, solo works by Mendelssohn and Schumann as well as chamber works by Mozart on CD. His passion for chamber music is evident from his appointment as artistic director of the summer festival Klassiek Leeft Meesterlijk in Knokke-Heist in Belgium. Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort is a Steinway Artist and teaches piano at the LUCA School of Arts in Leuven, Belgium.
