Znakomity zespół The Tallis Scholars pod dyrekcją Petera Phillipsa kończy tą płytą jeden z najdłuższych projektów nagraniowych, którego celem była rejestracja mszy Josquina des Prés (ok. 1450-1521), wybitnego renesansowego kompozytora, mistrza przejrzystego kontrapunktu bogatego w pomysły melodyczne. Projekt rozpoczął się w 1987 roku, a kończy się tą płytą.
