Sequels of movies are often a thorny issue. You can never be sure if you should look forward to the next episode... It is not surprising, however, that those who heard Camerata Limburg's first Genuin disc are impatiently anticipating the release of "Part 2." And there is no other way to say it, the new release produced in cooperation with German broadcaster Deutschlandfunk, a captivating set of complete recordings (!) of sacred male chorus settings by Schubert, Mendelssohn and Cornelius, captivates the listener throughout the disc. To use the cinematic analogy-the cast and plot are perfect! Both the balanced and moving choral sound, and the engrossing selection of repertoire are very satisfying to any a cappella enthusiast! "There are innumerable male choruses in Germany, but never before was there one which sang with the professional caliber of "Camerata Musica" from Limburg on the Lahn!"
