The CD “Fenetre sur le jardin” is a special project from pianist Ksenia Kouzmenko, with Czech music for piano solo. Together with famous names such as Josef Suk, Bohuslav Martinů en Leoš Janáček, there are two world premiere pieces on this CD by Jaroslav Kvapil and Miloslav Kabeláč.
This project is a continuation of the CD “Whispering Leaves” with works by Janáček, Páleniček and Martinů, which Ksenia Kouzmenko and the Czech cellist Lucie Štepánová released in 2018 (COBRA0069).
Ksenia Kouzmenko is internationally renowned for her sensitive and technically accomplished piano playing, and is in great demand as a partner in chamber music. She recently discovered the joy of playing on an Érard grand piano, with its inspiring sound possibilities.
