Organ Symphonies No. 3 and 5

Louis Vierne is regarded as one of the greatest late romantic composers of organ music. His work comprises an essential contribution to the genre of the French organ symphony. With this recording of the 3rd and 5th organ symphonies, Carus is launching a new cycle of the complete organ works of Vierne. Samuel Kummer plays on the new Kern organ in the Frauenkirche Dresden upon which all the recordings in this new and exciting cycle will be performed.
