When Johann Sebastian Bach took up his position in May 1723, St. Thomas’s Choir Leipzig has had a history stretching back for over 500 years. Johann Sebastian Bach is certainly the most famous Kantor of St. Thomas’s church until today. The Chamber Choir Josquin des Préz, conducted by Ludwig Böhme, offers a beautiful selection of a repertoire which could be heard in the Thomas's church long before Bach.
