Three classics from Grimm's fairy tales are musically retold by Berlin composer Mark Scheibe: In vivid language and new verses, speaker Meike Droste and the four recorder players of the Boreas Quartet Bremen bring the fairy tale characters to life. The entire range of instruments of the flute ensemble is used: from the trilling sopranino to the donkey-like contrabass recorder.
