The selection of works for violin and piano on this recording offers an instrument-specific look into the musical world of the 1920s. With the exception of Jacques-Alphonse De Zeegant, all composers represented here were born during the final third of the 19th century. The idea behind the selection of works, presented by Stefan Tarara and Lora Vakova-Tarara, was to provide a cross-section of the many tone colours, contrasts and emotions of the 1920s.
