The Mannheim court conductor Ignaz Wooden was one of the few colleagues to whom Mozart paid his respect. The ‘Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester’ has always been dedicated to the care of the Mannheim school. Reason enough for the orchestra to record two piano concertos by Mozart and one symphony by Holzbauer in the first episode of the recording-series.
