Described as "a poet of the piano" by Die Welt, the rising-star pianist, Danae Dörken, is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after soloists of her generation. Regularly appearing at festivals such as the Schwetzinger Festspiele, the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, et al. she has developed a passion not only for recitals but also chamber music performing with artists such as Gustav Rivinius, Christiane Oelze, Carolin Widmann and Katia & Marielle Labeque.

On her new recording she presents Fantasies by Schumann, C.P.E. Bach and Schubert. She is particularly fascinated about the freedom in the Fantasia form: it often goes beyond the scope of the usual forms – and sometimes breaks the rules.
